Basketball Recap: West Carroll Comes Up Short

After flying high against Christian Life last Monday, West Carroll came back down to earth. The West Carroll Thunder fell to the Warren Warriors 51-47. The defeat continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost six in a row.

Warren's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lizzy Hartzell led the charge by dropping a double-double with 14 points and 16 boards. Mayci Mullen was another key player, putting up 13 points.

West Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 7-20. As for Warren, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-16.

West Carroll has already played their next matchup, a 49-24 defeat against East Dubuque on the 13th. As for Warren, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-34 loss against River Ridge/Scales Mound on the 13th.
