Mount Miguel has gone 7-2 against Hoover recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Matadors will host the Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. Mount Miguel is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Mount Miguel is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Foothills Christian on Monday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1.

Mount Miguel saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emilo Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Hoover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Sweetwater, falling 10-4.

Mount Miguel has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Hoover, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.

Everything went Mount Miguel's way against Hoover in their previous meeting back in March, as Mount Miguel made off with a 15-9 victory. Will the Matadors repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
