Baseball Recap: St. Charles Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

St. Charles took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Plainview-Elgin-Millville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Fighting Saints skirted past the Bulldogs 3-1. This was payback for the Fighting Saints, who suffered a 10-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

St. Charles has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Plainview-Elgin-Millville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

St. Charles didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-3 victory against Mabel-Canton on the 2nd. As for Plainview-Elgin-Millville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 4-1 loss against Dover-Eyota on the 2nd.
