Sturgis and Otsego are an even 4-4-2 against one another since August of 2016, but not for long. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Sturgis came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Plainwell, falling 3-0. Sturgis has struggled against Plainwell recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Otsego not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 18th (when they won 3-0). They blew past Paw Paw 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Red Wolves: they've now won eight in a row.

Otsego's victory bumped their record up to 20-10-5. As for Sturgis, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15-3.

Sturgis might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Otsego when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
