Basketball Recap: Sonora Skates Past Bronte with Ease

Sonora won the last time they faced Bronte and things went their way on Saturday too. The Sonora Broncos simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bronte Longhorns 51-18. That looming 51-18 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Broncos yet this season.

Sonora's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Juan Castillo, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. Castillo has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Evan Arredondo was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.

The victory got Sonora back to even at 10-10. As for Bronte, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Sonora wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 49-29 defeat against Harper on the 28th. As for Bronte, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-28 win against Gorman on the 28th.
