Volleyball Recap: Wallace Miners vs. Lakeside Knights
Wallace's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Lakeside Knights with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Miners also won the last time the pair played last Tuesday.
Wallace never let Lakeside on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-23.
Anna Rehnborg had a dynamite game for Wallace, getting 20 digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Rehnborg a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Amie Strange, who had ten digs.
Wallace has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Lakeside, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Wallace is on the road again on Thursday to play Genesis Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. Genesis Prep Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Wallace surely won't give up without a fight. Lakeside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
