Basketball Game Preview: Lakeland Cavaliers vs. Norcom Greyhounds

Lakeland and Norcom are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Lakeland Cavaliers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Norcom Greyhounds at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lakeland is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

On Friday, Lakeland took a blow against Western Branch, falling 67-28.

Despite the defeat, Lakeland had strong showings from Aubrianna Paiz, who posted six points and six blocks, and Janae Carter, who put up 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Paiz is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Norcom got the win against Churchland on Wednesday by a conclusive 52-28. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Greyhounds.

Lakeland now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Norcom, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-3.

Lakeland lost to Norcom on the road by a decisive 56-41 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can Lakeland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
