Baseball Game Preview: ALA - West Foothills Guardians vs. North Valley Christian Academy Lions

The ALA - West Foothills Guardians will head out on the road to face off against the North Valley Christian Academy Lions at 2:45 p.m. on Friday. ALA - West Foothills is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11 runs per game this season.

ALA - West Foothills will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Winslow on Monday. ALA - West Foothills put the hurt on Winslow with a sharp 14-3 victory. The Guardians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by nine runs or more this season.

ALA - West Foothills got a massive performance out of Johnny Garcia, who scored three runs and stole Six bases. while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave Garcia a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Parker Schmidt, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Garcia wasn't the only one working in the hit department: ALA - West Foothills kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winslow only managed six hits.

Meanwhile, North Valley Christian Academy is still winless after their matchup against White Pine on Saturday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bobcats.

North Valley Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for ALA - West Foothills, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

ALA - West Foothills skirted past North Valley Christian Academy 7-6 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will ALA - West Foothills repeat their success, or does North Valley Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
