Recap: Ray Bearcats vs. The Gregory School Hawks
The Ray Bearcats had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against The Gregory School by a score of 41-29 on Tuesday. The victory was just what Ray needed coming off of a 34-12 defeat in their prior contest.
Ray's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Josselyn Lechuga, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lechuga has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Elaina Figueroa, who scored six points along with two steals.
Ray's victory bumped their record up to 7-17. As for The Gregory School, they bumped their record down to 5-12 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ray will take on Superior at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for The Gregory School, they will be playing at home against Patagonia at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
