Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Derek Perez and Gaige Stensgar Lead Inchelium to Victory

Inchelium won the last time they faced Cusick and things went their way on Friday too. The Hornets walked away with a 71-59 victory over the Panthers.

Leading Inchelium to victory were Gaige Stensgar and Derek Perez. Stensgar dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 boards, while Perez dropped a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Perez is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Caleb Abrahason was another key player, putting up 11 points and five steals.

Inchelium smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Inchelium now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Cusick, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 3-2.
