Marquette had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Newark Norsemen 2-1 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Crusaders sure are getting used to it with their 13th in a row.

Marquette's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 30-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Newark, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-21.

As of now, neither Marquette nor the Norsemen have any future games scheduled.
