Progreso entered their tilt with Monte Alto on Saturday with eight consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with nine. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 11-10 W against the Monte Alto Blue Devil. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Ants have posted since March 1st.

Isael Trevino was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Ismael Estrada, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-4.

Progreso's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.5 runs. As for Monte Alto, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
