American Canyon took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Casa Grande, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolves had just enough and edged out the Gauchos 3-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wolves as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Dylan Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single walk in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Royce Hall was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Noah Johnson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

American Canyon's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 6-9. As for Casa Grande, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-3.
