Basketball Recap: New Prague Comes Up Short

New Prague was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 71-56 to the Waconia Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly 15 points.

It was another big night for Will Kirsch, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 16 points for Waconia. The game was Kirsch's 19th in a row with at least ten points.

New Prague's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Waconia, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Prague will challenge Chaska at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Chaska's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 contests. As for Waconia, they will square off against Chanhassen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
