Baseball Game Preview: Prestonwood Christian Lions vs. Legacy Christian Academy Eagles

For the second straight game, Prestonwood Christian will face off against Legacy Christian Academy. The Lions will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Prestonwood Christian will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Prestonwood Christian barely beat Legacy Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions never let the Eagles get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Tuesday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

CJ LeBouef was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Junior Kniffen was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Lash Henderson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Prestonwood Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Legacy Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .087.

Prestonwood Christian pushed their record up to 19-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
