Baseball Game Preview: Fremont Firebirds vs. MacDonald Condor

The Fremont Firebirds will venture away from home to square off against the MacDonald Condor at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Fremont's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.

Fremont barely beat Monta Vista the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Fremont was the clear victor by a 10-3 margin over Monta Vista on Thursday. Considering the Firebirds have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, MacDonald scored the most runs they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Del Mar, falling 20-12. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (ten), the Condor still had to take the loss.

Connor Roberts was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

MacDonald's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Fremont, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Fremont took their victory against MacDonald in their previous meeting on March 6th by a conclusive 23-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fremont since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
