Baseball Recap: Design Tech Has No Trouble Against Pinewood

While Design Tech put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Pinewood. The Dragons blew past the Panthers 10-0. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Isaac Gradek and Aidan Tom did most of the damage at the plate: Gradek went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Tom went 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Gradek is becoming a predictor of Design Tech's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-6 when he doesn't). Maddox Hom also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Design Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pinewood only posted a batting average of .188.

Design Tech pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pinewood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Design Tech will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
