             Briarcliff gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  on Friday. Everything went their way against the Pleasantville Panthers as the Briarcliff Bears made off with  a  3-0 win. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bears as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.
 The  3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Briarcliff was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13,  25-12.
 Pleasantville lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Laureta Lukic, who  had five  digs and two  kills.
 Pleasantville is  on  a  seven-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
 Briarcliff will venture away from home to  face off against Westlake  at 8:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Briarcliff is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. As for Pleasantville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  3-0  defeat vs. Rye Neck on the 30th.
