Volleyball Game Preview: Francis Parker Lancers vs. Clairemont Chieftains

The Francis Parker Lancers will challenge the Clairemont Chieftains at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Francis Parker turned things around against La Jolla on Friday. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 3-1.

Francis Parker walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-23, 24-26, 25-19.

Francis Parker can attribute much of their success to Ethan Brigger, who had 16 digs and one assist, and Adam Fox, who had 22 assists and two aces. That's the most digs Brigger has posted over his last ten matchups.

Meanwhile, Clairemont was able to grind out a solid win over La Jolla on Monday, taking the game 3-1. The Chieftains haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Clairemont got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-15, 18-25, 30-28.

Francis Parker's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 17-9. As for Clairemont, their victory bumped their record up to 18-7.
