Baseball Game Preview: Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles vs. Cisne Runnin' Lions

The Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles will head out to square off against the Cisne Runnin' Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Brownstown/St. Elmo came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-1 to Central A & M.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Cisne's offense. They came up short against Galatia/Thompsonville on Thursday, falling 10-0. The Runnin' Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brownstown/St. Elmo's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Cisne, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Brownstown/St. Elmo beat Cisne 5-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2017. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
