Baseball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson lost to Pittsburg back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs fell 6-3 to the Pirates. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Kobin Tomlinson was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Ty Grigsby also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Jefferson's record is now 2-8-1. As for Pittsburg, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Pirates beat Jefferson by a score of 18-2 later that day.
