Basketball Recap: Alpena Comes Up Short

Alpena lost against Cadillac back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Alpena Wildcats lost 51-30 to the Cadillac Vikings. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Alpena now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Cadillac, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alpena will venture away from home to square off against Elk Rapids at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Elk Rapids' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. Cadillac and Petoskey will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Petoskey will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Cadillac surely won't give up without a fight.
