Basketball Recap: Harmony Science Academy Comes Up Short

Harmony Science Academy lost against Good Samaritan HomeSchool last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Harmony Science Academy Tigers took a 59-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Good Samaritan HomeSchool Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1297th, while the Hornets are ranked 119th).

Dominic Fogo was his usual excellent self, going 12 of 24 on his way to 33 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards for Good Samaritan HomeSchool. Fogo has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Mehl, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 10 points and five steals.

Harmony Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Good Samaritan HomeSchool, the win keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Harmony Science Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Deweyville at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Good Samaritan HomeSchool, they will be taking part in a tournament against Covenant Christian at 3:30 p.m. on December 27th.
