Softball Recap: Johansen Vikings vs. Lathrop Spartans
Johansen lost against Lathrop back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vikings fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 18-16.
Ella Jackson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alexis Duran, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her six plate appearances.
Johansen has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.
