Basketball Recap: Dulce Finds Home Court Redemption Against Navajo Pine

There's no place like home for Dulce, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 49-42 win over the Navajo Pine Warriors on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 39-28 back in December of 2024.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Riley Dawes, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Dawes a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Faila King, who went 7 for 10 on her way to 17 points.

Dulce's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Navajo Pine, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Hozho Academy the next time they take the court. Navajo Pine will host Hozho Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Dulce will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
