Recap: Horseshoe Bend Mustangs vs. Salmon River Savages

The Horseshoe Bend Mustangs can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 68-52 win over Salmon River. The victory was just what Horseshoe Bend needed coming off of a 71-42 loss in their prior contest.

Horseshoe Bend's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaelun Jones, who scored 17 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. Nic Cooper was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Horseshoe Bend's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Salmon River, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horseshoe Bend will face off against the Ramblers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Salmon River, they will head out on the road to take on the Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Garden Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
