Softball Recap: Dillon Christian Gets the Win

Dillon Christian put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the King's Academy Lions a 3-0 shutout.

Lilli Shooter made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

In other batting news, Chloe Powell was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples and one run.

Dillon Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dillon Christian will head out to face off against Marlboro Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. King's Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dillon Christian at 5:00 p.m. on March 24th.
