The Haven Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Inman Teutons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Haven sitting on 12 straight wins and Inman on 14.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Haven and Halstead, and Haven kept the tradition alive. The Wildcats came out on top against the Dragons by a score of 11-6 on Tuesday.

Ella Bontrager and Paige O'Neal were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Bontrager pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Meanwhile, O'Neal tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bontrager has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. At the plate, Bontrager went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double, while O'Neal went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those five RBI gave O'Neal a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Morgan O'Neal, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Mayzie Warden was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
Meanwhile, Inman got themselves on the board against Sedgwick on Tuesday, but Sedgwick never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 19-0 victory. Considering the Teutons have won 12 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Alexis Noone looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Ellie Thimmesch was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-4. Sharley Leonhardt also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.
Inman hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters every time they've taken the field this season.
Haven's record is now 17-1. As for Inman, their record now sits at 14-0.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Haven has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .451. However, it's not like Inman struggles in that department as they've averaged .488. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
