Softball Recap: Donovan Comes Up Short

Donovan fell victim to Clifton Central and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Comets, falling 10-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Donovan's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Clifton Central, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-12-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Donovan will head out to challenge Illinois Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Clifton Central, they are taking a road trip to take on Herscher at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
