Basketball Game Preview: La Conner Braves vs. Auburn Adventist Falcons

The La Conner Braves will head out to challenge the Auburn Adventist Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in La Conner's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

La Conner took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Orcas Island with a sharp 74-48 victory. The Braves haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Auburn Adventist had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 95-45 victory over the Orcas. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Auburn Adventist has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.6 points over those games. As for La Conner, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

La Conner was able to grind out a solid victory over Auburn Adventist in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 68-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for La Conner since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
