Soccer Game Preview: Andress vs. Jefferson

The Andress Eagles will square off against the Jefferson Silver Foxes at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Andress' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Andress managed to keep up with Chapin until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Andress came up short against Chapin, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Huskies are ranked 162nd).

Meanwhile, Jefferson can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Canutillo.

Andress now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.

Everything went Andress' way against Jefferson when the teams last played back in February, as Andress made off with an 8-3 win. Will Andress repeat their success, or does Jefferson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
