Baseball Game Preview: Evansville Christian Eagles vs. Loogootee Lions

The Evansville Christian Eagles will head out to take on the Loogootee Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Evansville Christian has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Evansville Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell 13-10 to Tell City on Wednesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Loogootee's offense. They lost 10-0 to South Knox on Monday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Loogootee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Evansville Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Evansville Christian skirted past Loogootee 6-4 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
