Basketball Recap: Sutton Piles Up the Points Against H&H

Sutton not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since January 23rd (when they won 82-44). They took their contest with ease, bagging an 80-44 win over the H&H Bearcats. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Mustangs had established a 26-point advantage.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sutton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Payton Reed, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance also gave Reed a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Jacob Huxoll, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Sutton was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as H&H only racked up seven.

H&H's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Player #Jagger Reiger, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. Player #Holden Switzer was another key player, putting up eight points.

The victory got Sutton back to even at 1-1. As for H&H, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Sutton has already played their next game, a 55-45 defeat against McCool Junction on the 12th. As for H&H, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Twin River at 5:00 p.m.
