Flag Football Recap: Lithia Springs Snags Seventh Win in Last Nine Games

Lithia Springs's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the South Atlanta Hornets by a score of 19-12. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Leo Lion's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia flag football rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Hornets are ranked 158th).

Lithia Springs' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ty'Tianna Ritman, who threw for 213 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 passes, and also rushed for 34 yards and one score. Those 213 passing yards gave Ritman a new career-high. 97 of Ritman's passing yards were hauled in by Leila Essex, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Lithia Springs has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for South Atlanta, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

As of now, neither Lithia Springs nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
