Baseball Game Preview: Humble Wildcats vs. Channelview Falcons

Humble hasn't had much luck against Channelview recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Humble Wildcats will take on the Channelview Falcons at 7:00 p.m.

Humble came up short against Channelview on Tuesday, falling 10-4.

For Channelview's part, Alex Gonzalez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Gonzalez was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three runs. That's the most hits he has posted over his last eight contests.

In other batting news, Julian MacAdam was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February.

Channelview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Humble's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11-1. As for Channelview, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 11-8.
