Soccer Recap: Mt. Baker Takes a Loss

Mt. Baker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sedro-Woolley Cubs. While losing is never fun, Mt. Baker can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 255th, while Sedro-Woolley are ranked 93rd).

Mt. Baker's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Sedro-Woolley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3-2.

Looking ahead, Mt. Baker will be playing in front of their home fans against Bellingham at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sedro-Woolley, they will face off against Burlington-Edison at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Burlington-Edison will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Sedro-Woolley surely won't give up without a fight.
