Softball Recap: Beaver Dam's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Beaver Dam dropped their record down to 9-4 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 3-0 to the Watertown Goslings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Beavers of the 8-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Beaver Dam saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Celly Loomans, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

As for Watertown, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games.

On Watertown's side, not much got past Cali Craig, who gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks to keep Beaver Dam off the board. Craig has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Elle Stangler was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beaver Dam will take on Waunakee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Watertown, they will challenge Middleton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
