Basketball Recap: Lisbon Central Has No Trouble Against Tupper Lake

Lisbon Central had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victor by a 55-30 margin over the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks. This was payback for the Golden Knights, who suffered a 60-56 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Tupper Lake still got an impressive performance from Felix Bodeewes, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 15 points. That was a full 50% of Tupper Lake's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Tupper Lake's loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lisbon Central will face off against Harrisville at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. As for Tupper Lake, they will challenge Brushton-Moira at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Tupper Lake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.7 points per game this season.
