Softball Recap: Carbon Hill Comes Up Short

Carbon Hill managed to slip by Cordova the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs came up short against the Blue Devils on Friday, falling 13-5. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Devils earlier this season, when they won 10-9.

Raelea Guy made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Ansley Thomas, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Carbon Hill has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season. As for Cordova, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-11.

Looking ahead, Carbon Hill will host Hamilton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cordova, they will welcome Curry at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
