Volleyball Recap: Mitchell County Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Mitchell County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Calhoun County Cougars on Tuesday.

Mitchell County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-15, 15-6.

The win got Mitchell County back to even at 7-7. As for Calhoun County, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Coming up, Mitchell County will be playing in front of their home fans against Westover at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Calhoun County, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Baker County on the 30th.
