Laytonville suffers fifth straight loss at home

Recap: Laytonville Warriors vs. Ferndale Wildcats
This season hasn't been kind to the Laytonville Warriors, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 70-26 loss at the hands of Ferndale. Laytonville has not had much luck with Ferndale recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Ferndale was led to victory by Thomas Fergison and Prescott Langer. Fergison scored 13 points, while Langer scored 16 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Isaac Kasso, who scored eight points.
Laytonville bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ferndale, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.
Laytonville will look to defend their home court on January 12th against Potter Valley at 8:00 p.m. Ferndale won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hoopa Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th.
