Basketball Recap: Northeast Vikings vs. Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks

The Northeast Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Jayhawk Linn with points to spare, taking the game 62-43. The victory was nothing new for Northeast as they're now sitting on three straight.

Jayhawk Linn's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryton Spencer, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacen Taylor, who scored five points along with six rebounds.

Northeast's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Jayhawk Linn, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Northeast will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jets at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Altoona-Midway focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday. As for Jayhawk Linn, they will head out on the road to take on the Blu-Jays at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pleasanton will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
