Baseball Game Preview: Pueblo Warriors vs. Buena Colts

For the second straight game, Pueblo will face off against Buena. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Colts at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pueblo has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with six straight losses, while Buena will come in with seven straight victories.

Pueblo lost 17-3 to Buena on Monday.

For Buena's part, Skylar Leon was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Leon also put up a triple, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Nathan Whitworth, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.

Buena kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pueblo only managed six hits.

Buena's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Pueblo, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
