 The West Charlotte Lions are on the road again  on Tuesday and plays the Hickory Red Tornadoes at 7:00  p.m.  on February 27th. Hopefully West Charlotte focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
 Last Tuesday, West Charlotte lost to Hopewell on the road  by a decisive  59-43 margin. While losing is never fun, West Charlotte can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 264th, while Hopewell is ranked 56th).
 Despite the  defeat, West Charlotte saw an underclassman step up:  Christian Coleman  scored 15 points along with five  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Randy "RJ" Grier, who  scored nine points.
 Meanwhile, Hickory put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on North Lincoln with a sharp  89-68 win. Hickory has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18  games by 20  points or more this season.
  Jamien Little was nothing short of spectacular: he  scored 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was  John Holbrook, who  scored 15 points.
 West Charlotte has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost 14 of their last 15 matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record  this season. As for Hickory, their win was  their 13th straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 27-0.
