It was a good run, but Bellarmine College Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Monta Vista Matadors by a score of 2-1. The Bells were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Matadors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Holden Findley paced Bellarmine College Prep's offense, picking up 12 kills. Findley got some help from Cole Morgan and his 14 assists. Morgan and Findley didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Bellarmine College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Monta Vista, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Bellarmine College Prep will challenge Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Monta Vista, they will face off against Homestead at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
