Basketball Recap: Coram Deo Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Emily Revering and Selah Johnson

Coram Deo Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. The game between them and the Trinity Christian Lions didn't end well, with the Coram Deo Academy Lions falling 57-41. Coram Deo Academy lost against Trinity Christian in their previous head to head back in January of 2016, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 99-26 score last time.

Selah Johnson and Emily Revering certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Johnson posted 22 points and six rebounds, while Revering went 5 of 10 on her way to 14 points and three steals. Johnson has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Coram Deo Academy's loss dropped their record down to 22-4. As for Trinity Christian, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-15.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Southwest Christian School the next time they take the court. Coram Deo Academy will host Southwest Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Trinity Christian will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th.
