Basketball Recap: Raton Comes Up Short

Raton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Clayton Yellowjackets, falling 41-19. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-19 back in December of 2024.

Raton's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Clayton, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12.

Raton has already played their next game, a 65-9 defeat against Tucumcari on the 1st. As for Clayton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-35 loss against Pecos on the 1st.
