Baseball Recap: Burroughs Triumphs

Burroughs took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Adelanto, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Burros had just enough and edged out the Saints 3-2 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Burros have posted since March 6, 2024.

Burroughs saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colby Bachman, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. Bachman has become a key player for the Burros: the team is undefeated when he posts at least one home run, but 11-12 otherwise.

Bachman wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Burroughs lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. The Burros are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more home runs.

Burroughs has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Adelanto, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-14.

As of now, neither Burroughs nor the Saints have any future games scheduled.
