Baseball Recap: Dilley Extends Winning Streak to Four

Dilley entered their tilt with Cole on Thursday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Cole Cougars by a score of 5-2. The five-run effort marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The team relied heavily on Jesse Hernadez, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Milo Eguia, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one triple.

Dilley's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Cole, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Coming up, Dilley will challenge Aransas Pass at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cole, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Cole Cougars take on Carrizo Springs Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Carrizo Springs will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Cole surely won't give up without a fight.
