Soccer Recap: Keller Comes Up Short

Keller was the 2-1 winner over Keller Central when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Keller Indians fell just short of the Keller Central Chargers by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Indians came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Chargers are ranked 369th).

This is the second loss in a row for Keller and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Keller Central, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-3.

Keller will square off against Southlake Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keller's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Keller Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwest at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th.
